Provides direct and indirect case management services for veterans and active duty service members struggling with mental illnesses and/or substance abuse disorders, as well as their family members. Coordinates services and/or resources needed by veterans to support their basic needs and enable them to remain and function optimally in the community. Provides educations and support to family members to assist with the veteran and service personnel wellness and recovery.
A combination of education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree (education, social work, psychology, human services or a related field) plus one year of experience in a setting working with individuals with mental health and/or substance use disorders is required. Veterans or individuals who have military and/or law enforcement experience preferred. Individuals with lived experience with mental illness or substance use recovery preferred. Certification in CPR and First Aid required (training provided).
