Provides Service Coordination, Developmental Services, and Case Management for children aged birth to three years old enrolled in early intervention services through Part C of IDEA. Provides and/or coordinates services and locates resources needed for children to meet developmental outcomes and provides support and education to families. Works collaboratively with other professionals providing services to enrolled children to ensure child and family are supported in meeting identified outcomes.
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Special Education or related field with at least one year’s experience working with young children with developmental delays. Knowledge of child development, developmental disabilities, and resources available in the community to assist children with disabilities. Ability to attain licensure to meet one of the personnel standards required by Part C of IDEA and ability to attain certification as Early Intervention Service Coordinator and Early Intervention Professional. Valid Virginia Driver’s license and safe driving record required.
