Under the administrative supervision of the Executive Director, the Director of Finance is responsible for implementation and oversight of all accounting and purchasing functions, as well as all internal and external financial reporting, and ensures compliance with State and Federal guidelines and audit specifications. Implements the Agency’s Accounting Policies and Procedures. Serves as fiscal liaison to the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS) for financial reporting/reconciliation. Directs internal audits and ensures compliance with all relevant internal and external financial auditing sources. Coordinates and provides the Agency’s annual fiscal year financial audit. Administers the Agency’s physical inventory system.
Required - Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university, with courses in advanced accounting, management accounting, auditing, and governmental accounting. CPA is also required. Must have five years of experience in governmental/fund accounting, managing accounting functions in an automated environment and budgeting, in the past seven years. Supervisory experience in the past ten years needed.
Preferred – Master’s Degree in Accounting or other Business related field.
